Preloading

Preloading is a great way to spread or reinforce your company’s message, while at the same time, providing  USB recipients with a convenient tool that they can use every day for their own files.

When you use preloading services, not only does your logo get displayed on the side of the USB itself, but you can use it to load product information, catalogs, special presentations, or other data.

USB-Depot is pleased to offer both preloading and auto-run services:

Preloading involves simply loading files onto the drive as part of the production process. Examples of the types of files USB-Depot’s customers tend to preload on USB flash drives include corporate or sales presentations in PowerPoint format, PDFs of brochures and catalogs, press releases with new product information, student course materials, and realtor photos of homes for sale.

With preloading, you will be given the choice of erasable format (allowing end users to be able to delete all files, thereby freeing up the entire drive for their personal use), or non-erasable (where the files are uneditable, unerasable, and the remaining storage space on the drive is available for personal use).

Auto-run takes preloading one step further by automatically presenting the content when the USB drive is inserted into the user’s computer. Your USBs can be produced so that they automatically load any executable file and can be synchronized to perform a variety of auto-run functions according to your exact instructions. Imagine the impact of your pre-loaded content automatically being shown to  USB recipients when they insert the drive into their computers – now that’s powerful!

Other features
USB-Depot can also add functionality, including but not limited to the following:

Security:  Users are prompted to enter a password when the USB drive is inserted.

Secure Use Partitioning: This is where only a certain portion of the drive space requires password access and the rest is “public” or “open” to anyone who uses the USB drive.

Serial Numbering: A unique serial number is preloaded onto each drive. This is particularly useful when using the USB drives for licenses software applications.

Non-Erasable Content: Content pre-loaded onto the drive can be protected so that it cannot be erased by the end user.
